Treat Yourself to the Best Fine Dining in Banff, Alberta

Eating well in Banff isn’t hard. With restaurants serving dishes like Marieville foie gras, escargots en croûte and braised elk paupiettes, you can’t go wrong. Read below for a few gourmet options in Banff.

Juniper Bistro & Lounge
The Juniper Bistro & Lounge has outstanding mountain views, a huge patio and a fireplace lounge. Chef creations include blueberry braised bison short ribs, BC steelhead trout with cranberry orange butter sauce, Albert beef tenderloin with Stilton butter and port wine reduction, and west coast seafood hot pot.

Banffshire Club
This restaurant serves North American cuisine made from only the freshest ingredients. Their dining room is elegant and luxurious and the dishes are innovative. They have won the 5 Diamond Award from AAA.

Eden
Come to this luxurious French restaurant with great views of the Bow and Spray Valleys and let Executive Chef Ralf Wollmann and Chef de Cuisine Robin Little make delicious plates for you like Marieville foie gras, Quebec veal sweetbreads, soft and hard shell crab, pheasant with savory cabbage and three chop Alberta lamb. Eden is one of Canada’s six AAA 5-diamond award winners and has won Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence with their 17,000 bottle wine list, which has offerings between $40 and $15,000.

Giorgio’s Trattoria
This restaurant serves delicious Italian cuisine. Their dining room is attractive, with an exposed beam ceiling. Try their wood-fired thin crust pizza or daily risotto and you won’t be disappointed. Their menu also includes more delicious options like pasta, chicken parmesean, veal scallopini and a catch of the day fish dish. Their wine menu is extensive, with over 150 bottles.

Le Beaujolais
Come to Le Beaujolais for a taste of classic French cuisine right in the town of Banff. Entrees and multiple course meals with wine pairings are available. Maple Leaf Grill
This award-winning restaurant has a beautiful lodge-style interior with four private dining rooms and a creative chef. The Evergreen

This restaurant at The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and Conference Center serves German and Swiss cuisine. Try the venison, trout, schnitzel or beef tenderloin. They also serve excellent cheese, beef and chocolate fondues. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Ticino Swiss-Italian Restaurant
This restaurant serves cuisine from the south of Switzerland with some Italian influences. Try their rack of veal, hazelnut breaded chicken stuffed with goat cheese, fresh halibut, salmon, lobster, lamb lion with figs and dates, pasta or raclette (a traditional dish usually composed of roasted cheese, potato, pickles, meats and sometimes seafood). Fondues are also available, with beef, cheese and chocolate options.
