Book a walking tour or glacier exploration excursion downstairs and then head up to a room with a view! The centre is a chalet-style stone building and a model of environmentally sensitive design. The inn has 32 rooms total. Rooms vary in size and price. Larger rooms are available for families that need some space, while more traditional-sized rooms are perfectly cozy for couples on romantic vacations. Lofts and corner rooms are also available! Amenities include satellite television, telephones, and spectacular views of the Canadian Rockies or the area glaciers! Choose between deluxe, mountain or glacier view rooms (the mountain view rooms are a bit cheaper) and look for discounts during the low season (late April to mid-June, mid-September to mid-October). To get there: The Icefield Centre is located just north of the Banff /Jasper National Park boundary, on the scenic Icefields Parkway (Highway #93 North). The centre is 60 miles (103 km) south of the town of Jasper and 80 miles (130 km) north of Lake Louise. It is also just 3.5 hours from Calgary, 5 hours from Edmonton, 1 hour from Jasper and just over 2 hours to Banff. When you arrive:Park in the public car lot, which is within walking distance to the centre. From there, Inn staff will transfer your luggage to the inn. (You cannot drive directly to the building). More about the Icefield Centre:The main floor at the Icefield Centre is where you’ll find the front desk, gift shop, excursion ticket offices, and Jasper National Park Info Desk. The second floor has a full dining room and cafeteria open to visitors and hotel guests. In the basement, Jasper National Park operates an extensive interpretation centre with lots of information about the area.
