Visit Moraine Lake Near Banff, Alberta

CALGARY, ALBERTA—Canada—Moraine Lake is located 15 kilometres from the scenic alpine beauty of Lake Louise. Mountaineers usually reach the area’s Neil Colgan Hut after 8 to 12 hours of ascending the Perren Route from Moraine.

Moraine Lake also offers a picturesque vista of The Valley of the Ten Peaks—a Banff National Park valley that is surrounded by ten prominent mountain peaks. The valley is easily accessible through Moraine Lake road in the nearby Lake Louise. The Lake Louise region includes Lake Louise village as well as Lake Louise and the ski / gondola area. At more than 5,000 feet, Lake Louise is the highest permanent settlement in the Canadian Rockies.
