How to Apply

The Federal Student Work Experience Program(FSWEP) does student recruitment for Parks Canada. The core of the program is a nation-wide electronic inventory of students seeking a student jobs. This inventory is administered by the Public Service Commission (PSC) of Canada for approximately 90,000 names every year across Canada. FSWEP campaigns normally run from October of one year to September of the following year. The exact date of the beginning of the next campaign will be posted on the FSWEP site at the appropriate time. At the end of each campaign, the PSC deletes all the data from its computerized inventory, so students who wish to be considered for jobs must complete a new application for each campaign. There is no deadline for applying, but most locations submit their requests for referrals from January to April.

To apply, fill out the FSWEP application form on-line and be sure to apply directly to the “Parks Canada Student Employment Programs” listed under “Departmental Programs”. Schools, public libraries, campus career centres, Human Resource Centres of Canada, offices of the Public Service Commission (PSC) of Canada and cyber-cafés are excellent venues for students to access the Internet.
