Banff, Alberta Cafes and Bakeries: Quick Canadian Rockies Snack Stops!

Whether you’re looking for your morning cup of joe or a sweet afternoon treat, Banff has a place for you. There are an infinite number of cafés and bakeries in the area. Read below for a large selection of them.

Banff Tea Company
Banff Tea Co. offers more than 150 teas from around the world, as well as a selection of unique teapots. Each tea is on display in a “sniffer tin,” which allows visitors to smell every tea before they choose! They are open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.

The Industry Café
Café and catering.

Cake Company Bakery
This small bakery sells muffins, pastries, desserts, light meals and coffee. Open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. It is located at street level of the Bear Street Mall.

Evelyn’s Coffee Bar
Come to Evelyn’s for coffee and stay for the handmade muffins, cookies, lunches and desserts.

Jump Start Coffee & Sandwich Place
This gourmet coffee shop also sells fresh baked treats, sandwiches, soups and even ice cream. Ask about their to-go picnics!

Laggan’s Mountain Bakery and Deli
The bakery side of Laggan’s serves breads, pastries and cookies while the deli side serves up sandwiches, hot dishes, pizza, chicken and soups.

Starbucks Coffee
If you don’t know this popular mega chain of coffee shops, you may have been living on another planet for the last decade or so. Selling espresso, cappuccinos, fresh-brewed coffees, teas and some prepared foods, Starbucks started in Seattle, but has since expanded to markets around the world.
